It seems life couldn't get much better for Jessica Alba.

The actress spent New Year's Day relaxing at a luxurious Mexican resort with family as her new film, Little Fockers, topped the U.S. box office for the second week straight.

Wearing a black sun dress and fashionable sunglasses, the 29-year-old soaked up the sun as she sat by the pool today in Cabo San Lucas.

Jessica, her husband Cash Warren and their two-year-old daughter Honor, are on a holiday break with family friends.

But she found time to encourage her Twitter followers to see her new movie.

She tweeted yesterday: 'Who's going 2 c #littlefockers this weekend? Anyone going for a second round of belly laughs? :)'

And it seems many fans did just that.

After a smaller than expected Christmas week début, the sequel to Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers rebounded solidly this weekend, taking the top spot with $26.3 million.



Despite scathing reviews, Little Fockers has earned $103.2 million in just two weeks


Little Fockers, co-starring Ben Stiller and Robert de Niro, has done good business despite scathing reviews.

The film has taken a total of $103.2 million after just two weeks.
Jessica is now working on the blockbuster family film, Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World.

Surprise! Amanda Holden, 39, reveals she's six months pregnant with baby No.2

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden is pregnant with her second child.
The TV presenter/actress, 39, announced she is expecting a baby boy in March with husband Chris Hughes, 37.

But Holden also explained she waited so long to announce her pregnancy after she tragically suffered a miscarriage last year.

The couple, who married in December 2008, are already parents to daughter Alexa, aka Lexi, who turns five later this month.

Writing on her Twitter page today, she said: 'Just to let you know. I am 6 months pregnant with a baby boy!! Have had to keep it quiet until now!'

A statement from her publicist said the couple are 'absolutely thrilled'.

Her publicist Alison Griffin added: 'They say they cannot wait to welcome the new addition to their family.'

In a statement on her official website, Holden revealed her secret heartbreak last year after losing her unborn child.

The champagne was in full flow as Jay-Z hosted a New Year party in Las Vegas which was bubbling with some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry.

Joining the rapper was his wife Beyonce, along with Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow, her husband Chris Martin, Kanye West, Jennifer Lopez and Florence Welch.

The stars were out in force for the grand opening of The Cosmopolitan, a $3.9 billion hotel on the famous Strip.

Following a gig, which included performances from Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Coldplay's Chris, the celebs partied until the earlier hours at the Marquee Nightclub in the hotel.

Beyonce, 29, duetted with her 41-year-old husband to perform Forever Young and also teamed up with Chris to sing her hit Halo, wearing a stunning low-cut dress.

John Mayer also made a surprise appearance, playing guitar with Jay-Z on his song 99 Problems.

Kanye West took over the DJ boot at 2.30am and was joined by Jay-Z as they sang Runaway followed by Monster.

Other guests included Cameron Diaz and A-Rod, who jetted in fresh from their holiday in Mexico.

The vintage drink, sometimes referred to as Ace of Spades in song lyrics, is a favourite among the hip hop crew and made an appearance in Jay-Z's music video Show Me What You Got.

'All the problems you were going through have been kicked out the door,' Jay-Z told the crowd before collaborating with West on Homecoming, which also featured Chris Martin.

'I have a great job, a great husband, a great baby. I have a lot to be thankful for all the time,' the Grey's Anatomy star told People.com.

DJ Eric Morrillo was also on hand, spinning some tunes on the decks as the revellers partied into the early hours.

Just last week, she denied that she was dating - but Cheryl Cole and Derek Hough apparently showed off their love with a public kiss as they celebrated the New Year in South Africa yesterday.

Dancing With The Stars professional Hough, 26, and the X Factor judge, 27, looked closer than ever as they walked along an idyllic beach near their villa in Cape Town after they had welcomed in the New Year at a house party.

Wearing a yellow satin asymmetrical dress at the bash, Cheryl had looked glowing and happy as she danced with Derek.

Hough has also reportedly bought the 27-year-old X Factor judge a £10,000 diamond bracelet as a love token.

The pair are staying in a luxury beachside villa in the Camps Bay resort a few miles outside Cape Town and saw in 2011 at a £1million house party apparently thrown by American property mogul Preston Haskell.

It was there, in front of the assembled revellers, that the couple sealed their love with a passionate kiss after toasting each other with champagne as the midnight chimes rang out.

The party, which featured trapeze artists, acrobats and dancers, was held at Haskell's mansion in Fresnaye, overlooking Cape Town's Table Mountain.

It's also said that Derek held Cheryl in his arms as they watched a firework display explode over the skyline.

The pair arrived in South Africa on Wednesday after Cheryl spent Christmas with her family in her native Newcastle.

After spending two days at the One And Only Hotel in Cape Town, the pair then transferred to a private rented villa on Friday.

And Demi Moore certainly looked like she was enjoying herself as she cruised the waters around St Barts on a jet ski.

Wearing a body-hugging black wetsuit and life vest, the 48-year-old actress took a spin on a jet ski with a friend in tow.


The Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle star and her actor husband Ashton Kutcher have spent the last few days on the Caribbean island, sunning themselves on a yacht owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, 44.

Ashton, 32, looked like a seasoned pro as he jetted around dressed in striped swim trunks, a black life vest and a headband.

But later, as Demi was spotted out shopping on the mainland, he stayed behind on the yacht.

Perhaps Demi was picking something up to wear to Abramovich's star-studded New Year's Eve bash, which was one of the hottest tickets in town.

He said: ‘Sending sweet nothings on Twitter or Facebook is also fun. In some ways, it’s no different than sending flowers to the office.

Lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s bid for Hollywood stardom has been backed by Tom Cruise, one of the most influential men in Tinseltown.

The British model, 23, has signed to Creative Artists Agency (CAA) on the advice of the Top Gun star.

Cruise, 48, and Brad Pitt are two of the stars with CAA, known as the best agency in the movie business.

‘Tom is taking an interest in Rosie’s career. He thinks she has real star quality and it’s fantastic for her to be on their books,’ says my LA spy.

‘Tom’s influence has already transformed his wife Katie Holmes into a media-savvy woman, and now he wants to help Rosie.’

Scientologist Cruise has also offered to advise Rosie on his beliefs, should she take an interest, says my spy.

Dorset-born Rosie’s first big-screen role is in action flick Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.

She's not a stranger to welcoming in the New Year with Jools Holland on his annual Hootenanny.

And last night Kylie Minogue once again joined the diminutive musician as they welcomed in 2011 on the BBC.

The 42-year-old singer looked stunning in a skintight leopard-print dress and matching shoes as she performed some of her biggest hits, including recent smash Better Than Today.

Kylie, who appeared on the show for the third consecutive year, was just one of the musical legends to appear on the programme, alongside The Who star Roger Daltrey and Gnarls Barkley frontman Cee Lo Green, who performed his hit single Forget You.

Alison Moyet, Rumer and Vampire Weekend also performed on the show, with comedians Jo Brand and Martin Freeman among the star guests in the audience.

But it was Kylie, who had curled her hair especially for the occasion, who received one of the biggest cheers of the evening when she took to the stage.

Before counting down to the next decade, Kylie joined Jools on the piano as she belted out Better Than Today, much to the delight of the star-studded audience.

And the pint-sized singer was clearly excited about welcoming in a new year, writing on her Twitter page earlier in the day: 'Put Your Hands Up... if you feel the love for 2011...whoooOooOoOoOOOPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy New Year ... love Kylie xxxx'

Kylie also revealed some of her resolutions for 2011, admitting she is hoping to make a return to movies following her cameo role as the Green Fairy in Moulin Rouge in 2001.

She said: 'I don’t know why I haven’t done it yet. Musicals are, it’s no surprise, right up my alley and I would be in seventh heaven doing a musical.

The Hootenanny, which always boasts an all-star rosta of performers, is one of the most popular New Year's television shows.

Talking about fronting such a successful programme, Jools Holland said: 'I have been incredibly fortunate in working with and observing so many amazing people, which is always strange and thrilling.'

However, the programme has caused some controversy in the past, with viewers complaining that they had been misled by the fact the show is pre-recorded and not live.

But, defending the programme, a BBC spokesperson said at the time: 'Jools' Annual Hootenanny is an idealised New Year's Eve party with a line-up that would surely be impossible to deliver on December 31.'
