After spending a happy first Christmas together, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are clearly making the most of the romantic festive season

The couple were all smiles as they strolled through the snow holding hands while making their way to a New Year's Eve dinner.

And the pair made sure they wrapped up warm, with Jessica wearing festive reindeer leggings, snow boots and a faux fur jacket.

Johnson, a former American football player, turned life coach looked equally wrapped up in a padded black jacket, and patterned hat and scarf.

Eric's first Christmas with his in-laws Joe and Tina, Jessica's sister Ashlee, brother-in-law Pete and nephew Bronx in Encino, California, appeared to have gone well.

'Eric is the perfect addition to our family!' Jessica tweeted on the day after Christmas.

Eric and Jessica announced their engagement in November after just seven months of dating.

The news came less than two weeks after Jessica's ex-husband Nick Lachey announced his engagement to long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.

Perhaps they WANTED to be seen. If not, Christina Aguilera and her new boyfriend chose the wrong restaurant for a pre-New Year's Eve lunch date.

The 30-year-old Burlesque star walked hand-in-hand with Matthew Rutler as they left the Ivy yesterday in West Hollywood.

Wearing black leggings, cowboy boots, a camouflage jacket and sunglasses, Christina kept her head down as her burly bodyguard pushed through the throng of photographers, who gather daily outside the Hollywood hotspot.

After filing for divorce from her husband earlier this year, she has been adjusting to life as a single mum.

But that might not be for too much longer as Christina has introduced her new man to her two-year-old son Max, which could suggest things are getting serious for the new couple.

The group enjoyed some quality family time together at The Petersen Automotive Museum.

In fact, Matthew and Max seemed to hit it off as the group smiled and joked as they made their way home.

Christina ditched her trademark raunchy outfits for a comfortable jacket, a skull and cross print T-shirt, black jeans and studded biker boots, topped off with a black and white peaked cap.

She also appeared to have abandoned her characteristic heavy make-up, ditching her signature bright red lipstick and opting for a cosmetics-free look.

While Christina held Max in her arms, Matthew stuck to carrying a cup of coffee.

This year has been a mixture of ups and downs for the singer, who called time on her relationship to husband Jordan Bratman earlier in the year.

Christina, who married Bratman in 2005, filed for divorce, blaming her first feature film Burlesque for driving the couple apart.

And although the singer couple met her current beau on the set of the film, where he worked as her assistant, she insists that they only started dating after she filed for divorce.

‘Matthew is a special person,' she told People magazine. 'We had a really strong friendship on the movie. Once I filed for divorce, we started dating.’

The comedian posted a rather unflattering picture of his wife Katy Perry on his Twitter page that shows the singer without a scrap of make-up.

In the frame, the Teenage Dream star appears to have just woken up and is sporting a rather startled look.

The 26-year-old is rarely seen minus heavily painted make-up and in what may be a sign she was less than pleased with the posting, it was quickly deleted from Russell's Twitter page.

The couple are now in London after spending their first Christmas together as husband and wife.

Russell, 35, took the time to catch up on his favourite sport after their arrival.

Katy tweeted on Tuesday: 'watching footie with the hubby, he's yelling again & calling the tv a c***sucker.'

She said: 'Honestly, we're not doing presents this year because we're going to do an experience instead.

'My whole life has been an experience, especially in these past few years and this year in particular.'

And the Bajan beauty partied the night away in her suggestive statement frock, which had sheer stripes giving party revelers a sneak peek of her frame.

Rihanna sported several shades of red, which has been a key colour this season, by coordinating her dress her hair and her nails in crimson hues.

She exhibited her star moves dancing away to the music and chatted to guest in the VIP area of the Ceasar’s Palace hotel nightclub.

X Factor winner Matt Cardle has apparently found love with stunning dancer Sarah Robinson, who he met on the ITV show.

The 27-year-old singer was said to be instantly attracted to Sarah when he met her at the beginning of the live programmes and, after weeks of flirting, the pair decided to give their relationship a go when he was crowned winner of the talent contest.

And things are going so well for the new couple that Matt even spent New Year with Sarah, 24, in her hometown of Newcastle after enjoying a quiet Christmas with his family in Essex.

A source told The Sun: 'Sarah is really stunning, Matt's a lucky boy. They were getting close during their routines but the flirting was spilling over after the show.

'Matt travelled to Newcastle and they checked into a hotel. They have gone from strength to strength.'

Sarah, who has been a backing dancer for stars including Paul McCartney and Shirley Bassey, caused such a stir on this year's show that she was banned from dancing with One Direction because she made them too nervous because of her stunning looks.

The relationship is the latest pairing for Matt, who has already made a name for himself as something of a ladies' man.

Referring to his womanising image, Matt said: 'I could have a worse reputation - it’s not a terrible thing to be accused of, but at the end of the day I’ve not done anything with any of these women I’m meant to be with.

‘I honestly haven’t touched anyone since I’ve been in this competition. It’s a bit weird, you think your private life will stay private for a little bit longer than that.

Performing at the New Year’s Jam on the Sand party in Miami beach, the 25-year-old beauty belted out her anthem Bleeding Love.

As wind blew her hair back and the trail of her skirt billowed she leaned forward to reveal an impressive cleavage.

Covered from head to toe in glitter with sequins adorning her dress Leona glistened on stage as she sang.

And it wasn't just Leona who was flashing some flesh on stage as the singer was flanked by two dancers who had their shirts unbuttoned.

One of whom was her new boyfriend German dancer Dennis Janch, who she has been dating for several months.

The gorgeous singer demonstrated her impressive vocal range as she sang the melancholy love song, which reached number one in 30 countries around the world after being released in October 2007.

As the song finished and the crowd cheered Leona shouted: ‘Thank you so much have an amazing year good night!’
